Short answer: buying a gun online is easy. You pay the seller, the seller ships the firearm to a licensed dealer (FFL), and you complete the transfer in person. At PM Customs in Yukon, a standard FFL transfer is $25, private-party transfers are also $25, and every transfer is done one-on-one by appointment. Here’s exactly how it works, step by step.
PM Customs is a veteran-owned FFL/SOT in Yukon, Oklahoma, serving Mustang, El Reno, Piedmont and the Oklahoma City metro. Appointments are generally Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
Can a gun be shipped to my house?
No. A firearm bought online has to ship to a licensed dealer, who then completes the transfer with you in accordance with the law. That’s the service an FFL transfer provides: you pick the gun, and we handle the receiving, records and paperwork.
Step by step: buying online and transferring through PM Customs
- Contact us before you buy. Call 405-265-8955 or use our contact page to confirm we can accept the transaction. Please don’t ship a firearm, or have a seller ship one, until we’ve confirmed the transfer.
- Send us the details. Your name and contact information, the seller’s or shipping dealer’s information, and the firearm’s manufacturer, model, caliber and order number when you have it.
- Buy from the seller and choose PM Customs as your FFL. The shipping dealer may need a copy of our license before it ships. We exchange license information directly with the seller or dealer when required, so you don’t have to.
- Wait for our “ready” notice. When your firearm arrives, we receive it, enter it into the required records, and then contact you to set an appointment. A carrier’s “delivered” message doesn’t always mean the firearm is ready to transfer yet.
- Come in for your appointment in Yukon. Bring current, acceptable government-issued ID, plus any additional residency documentation that may be required (for example, if your ID doesn’t show your current address). You’ll complete the required forms (ATF Form 4473) and eligibility checks before taking possession.
- Pay the transfer fee and take your firearm home. The standard fee is $25.
