The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy puts double-stack 9mm capacity on the 1911 platform: a polymer grip module on a forged steel frame, with an ambidextrous safety, a Picatinny rail and an optics-ready AOS slide. The Comp adds an integrally compensated 5″ slide and barrel to reduce muzzle rise. This model is chambered in 9mm with a 5″ forged stainless steel barrel (match grade, bull, 1:16″ twist), has a black finish, and comes with three 17-round and one 20-round magazines and a Viridian RFX11 green dot. As a Gear Pac model it also comes in a nylon pistol bag. Manufacturer part number: PH9119AOSCOMPPAC.
